Meet Coach Nick Johnson

Nick Johnson graduated from Rockhurst High School a private all boys school in Kansas City, Missouri. Nick played football, track and lacrosse for his high school earning accolades in all three. Nick then attended the University of Central Missouri where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Education. As a running back on the University of Central Missouri Fighting Mules Football Team he gained a knowledge and passion for coaching. Nick also became a Student Assistant Coach for the Mules.
After leaving UCM Nick became a teacher and coach in the Hickman Mills School District. There he coached running backs and lead college recruitment for the Ruskin High School Football Team. Nick was responsible for over 35 players signing to play collegiate football. Nick obtained a Masters Degree in Organizational Development-Fundraising and a Masters in Organizational Development-Executive Leadership both from Avila University. He has a passion for seeing our youth succeed at sports, education and life. For nine years during the summer Nick worked for CDF Freedom Schools Program, a summer school program designed to build strong literate children, empowered to make a difference in themselves and their communities. There he served as a Site Lead (local level) and an Ella Baker Trainer (national level training facilitator). Within the last three years Nick has obtained his Certification in Personal Training through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). With this certification he started Triple Threat Sports and Fitness Kansas City, LLC. Through this business Nick assists students, adults and professional athletes in achieving their fitness goals. Triple Threat Sports and Fitness Kansas City, LLC provides personal training, nutritional assistance, sports performance training and fitness coaching for all ages. Nick’s knowledge, experiences and education he has obtained over the last 11 years working in public, private and alternative school settings make him a valuable asset to the team. |
